I am a software engineer at Google, working on Google Knowledge Graph.

I obtained my master degrees in computer science in a joint program between Tsinghua University and Carnegie Mellon University. I worked with Professor Jie Tang in Tsinghua University and Professor Christos Faloutsos in CMU. I obtained my bachelor degree from the computer science department of Tsinghua University.

I am interested in the fields of data mining, machine learning and how to apply the latest data mining, machine learning and natural language processing techniques to do better predictive modelling in practice.

In my spare time, I love playing data mining contests and computer programming contests to hone my skills. I have won prizes in 5 international data mining contests, and one champion, three runner-ups in regional ACM ICPC.

  • I love playing computer programming contests and data mining contests in my spare time. I started to play computer programming contests when I was a middle school student. Even now, I will play some CodeForce contests. My first data mining contest was KDD Cup 2012 Track 1. Since then, I have participated more than 10 data mining contests, and most of them are in Kaggle. Luckily, I have won more than 60K USD prize money from these contests.
